Meow's Favourite Pictures

Just a bunch of pictures, which I absolutely love, and would like to share with you ....

This photo was taken in June 2005, from the window of our car, on the way home from Bonnie Doon. It is of a tree (obviously !) in the middle of a vineyard, in the Dixons Creek area near Yarra Glen. I just loved the sun rays, or whatever it is, beaming down on the naked tree.

Kali ... it was a real fluke, catching this shot. I just love it, though.

Reverberate ... thank you. I have been going wild with photography since we got the digital camera last year February. It is so much fun. Some of the shots are just pure luck !!

Hi Meow ~~ Your photos are really nice, but the tree at Dixons Creek got
me thinking way back.
My brother, Peter and I grew up in
Dixons Creek in our early years and we
loved it. There were no vineyards there at that time (back in the dark ages). I love the look of the hotel
in Yarra Glen. I would be pretty sure
that you would have photographed it.?
Take care, Merle.

Merle ... it must have been a wonderful life growing up in Dixons Creek ... it is a beautiful area. I haven't taken a photo at the Yarra Glen because ... well, I don't really know why !!! It is very nicely renovated ... next time perhaps !!
Take care, Meow

Growing up at Dixons Creek was great Meow, going back later was sometimes a let down though, I used to play cowboys and indians in a water course that seemed like the grand canyon when I was a child, it was only 18 inches deep when I returned years later, what a let down!!

Peter ... things were always so much bigger as a child. I have memories of various things, and when I have gone back I was way dissappointed !!

incredible. simple incredible. I love seeing what is captured through the lens because it is often different than what the naked eye sees. If only I was patient enough to play with filters. Great job!
